• Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness is not a Medical, Psychiatric or Psychotherapy Facility. Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness does not offer therapy or psychotherapy and services should not be considered this. 

• Lauren Bishop holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Queen’s University. Lauren is a certified yoga & meditation teacher from Accessible Yoga School. Lauren is not a licensed therapist, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist or medical doctor nor is she trained in Western diagnosis and treatment. She will not be making suggestions about altering your current medical/psychiatric or professional care or prescriptions. 

• The information contained within the Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness website (www.laurenbishopdurkin.com) or within Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness services and material (services and material includes emails, Facebook and social media content, counselling & coaching services, online programs, classes, and workshops) are not a substitute for professional advice such as from a Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist, Psychologist or Therapist of any kind. • Information, skills and practices provided by Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness are alternative health recommendations. Any loss, injury or damage to the participant that occurs after receiving services from Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness are not at the fault of Lauren Bishop or Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness.

• Diagnosing psychological, psychiatric, or medical conditions is for trained medical professionals (Physicians and Therapists), not for a counsellor, coach or meditation teacher. 

 

Policies

Pre-paid Coaching sessions and coaching packages & programs:

• Are non-refundable

• Pre-paid sessions can be re-scheduled if Lauren is given 24hours notice of cancellation.

 

Refund Policy for Workshops, Coaching Programs, Events and Online Programs:

• These services are non-refundable.

 

Online Programs:

• Are non-refundable.

• Please be advised that the True Nature Rituals program content is subject to change at any time. The content of True Nature Rituals may need to be removed at any time due to unforeseen reasons or risks. If this is to happen, refunds are not available. 

• It is the users’ responsibility to download available material at time of purchase.

• User agrees not to share and distribute material without permission of Lauren Bishop.

 

Coronavirus Policy

To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and prevent the spread of COVID-19, Lauren Bishop Durkin Wellness follows the most recent government regulations for Covid-19.

No current regulations in place as per government regulations. We will be closely monitoring the status and regulations related to coronavirus and changes will be made as government regulations change. Inclement Weather Policy - Retreats and Events

At our retreats and events, the safety and well-being of our guests are our top priorities. While we strive to proceed with scheduled retreats and events despite inclement weather warnings, there are specific conditions under which a retreat or an event may be canceled.

 

Please note the following policy:

​

1. General Policy:

   • Retreats and events will generally continue during winter storms and inclement weather warnings.

   • No refunds or transfers of dates are available due to winter storms or inclement weather.

   • It is the responsibility of each retreat guest to monitor the weather in advance and make any necessary travel arrangements. This may include arriving at the retreat city earlier or arranging additional accommodations before or after the retreat/event, if required.

   • We are unable to accommodate for weather conditions in different locations from which guests may be traveling. Guests should plan their travel accordingly, taking into consideration potential weather disruptions.

   • It is the client’s responsibility to determine if travel is safe for them. Guests should evaluate weather conditions and their personal travel circumstances to make informed decisions about their safety

2. Cancellation Criteria:

   • Retreats/events will be canceled if any of the following conditions are present in the retreat/event city location:

     • A major snowfall of greater than 25 cm (9.8 inches) within a 24-hour period.

     • A major snowfall of 25 cm (9.8 inches) or more within a 24-hour period with winds of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more, causing widespread reductions in visibility to less than 400 meters (0.25 miles) for at least four hours due to blowing snow.

3. Rescheduling:

   • If a retreat/event is canceled due to the above conditions, it will be rescheduled to a new date chosen by the leader.

   • If a guest is unable to attend the rescheduled date, no refunds or transfers of dates will be available. Exchange for an online program (True Nature Rituals) is available if unable to attend the rescheduled date.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our retreats. Please plan your travel accordingly and stay informed about weather conditions leading up to your retreat or event.
